Privacy Policy | Excel Tire Gauge
Effective date: 08/06/2026 Last updated: 08/06/2026
The short version
We collect two kinds of information: what you give us directly (like filling out a quote form) and what your browser tells us automatically (like which pages you visited). We use it to respond to you, improve the site, and run our business. We do not sell your personal information. You can ask us what we have on you and ask us to delete it.
The rest of this page is the detailed version.

4. Cookies and analytics
4.1 What cookies are
Cookies are small text files placed on your device by a website. They allow the site to remember your actions and preferences and let us understand aggregate visitor behavior.
4.2 Categories of cookies used on this site
Strictly necessary cookies. Required for the site to function — page loading, security, and form submission. These cannot be turned off through our site.
Analytics and performance cookies. These help us understand which pages are visited, how long visitors stay, and where they come from. We use Google Analytics for this purpose. Google Analytics collects information including your IP address (which may be truncated/anonymized), device information, and browsing behavior on our site. Google’s practices are governed by the Google Privacy Policy. You can opt out of Google Analytics across all websites using the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on.
Functional cookies. Remember your preferences, such as previously entered form information or display settings.
Advertising and retargeting cookies. If Excel runs paid advertising or retargeting through platforms such as Google Ads, Meta, or LinkedIn, those platforms place cookies or pixels that allow us to show ads to people who have visited our site. Delete this paragraph if no advertising pixels are installed; keep it and name the specific platforms if they are.
4.3 Controlling cookies
Most browsers let you refuse or delete cookies through their settings. Blocking strictly necessary cookies may prevent parts of the site from working correctly. Instructions for the major browsers are available in each browser’s help documentation.
4.4 Do Not Track
Some browsers transmit a “Do Not Track” signal. There is currently no uniform industry standard for how to respond to these signals, and this site does not currently respond to them. We do honor recognized opt-out preference signals to the extent required by applicable state law (see Section 8).
5. How we share information
We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it for cross-context behavioral advertising in exchange for money.
We share information only in the following circumstances:
Service providers. We use third-party vendors to operate our business. These include form and CRM providers (such as Zoho), event registration platforms (such as Eventbrite), email delivery services, website hosting providers, and analytics providers. These vendors receive only the information they need to perform their function and are contractually restricted from using it for their own purposes.
Affiliated companies. Information may be shared among Excel Tire Gauge, Air Excel, and Excel Air Service to fulfill your request — for example, when a sales inquiry leads to a service scheduling need.
Business partners. Where a request relates to equipment placed at a partner location or a distributor’s territory, we may share your contact and site information with that partner so they can respond.
Legal requirements. We may disclose information when required by law, subpoena, court order, or governmental request, or where we believe disclosure is necessary to protect our rights, your safety, or the safety of others.
Business transfers. If Excel is involved in a merger, acquisition, financing, or sale of assets, your information may be transferred as part of that transaction. We will provide notice before your information becomes subject to a materially different privacy policy.
6. How we protect your information
We maintain administrative, technical, and physical safeguards designed to protect personal information against unauthorized access, disclosure, alteration, and destruction. These include:
- Encryption of data transmitted between your browser and our site (HTTPS/TLS)
- Access controls limiting employee access to information on a need-to-know basis
- Reputable third-party hosting and form providers with their own security programs
- Periodic review of our security practices
No method of transmission over the internet or electronic storage is completely secure. While we work to protect your information, we cannot guarantee absolute security. If we become aware of a data breach affecting your personal information, we will notify you as required by applicable law.
7. How long we keep information
We retain personal information only as long as necessary for the purposes described in this policy:
| Type of information | Typical retention |
|---|---|
| Quote and sales inquiries | Duration of the sales relationship plus a reasonable follow-up period |
| Customer and service records | Duration of the customer relationship plus any period required for warranty, tax, or legal purposes |
| Marketing subscriptions | Until you unsubscribe, plus a suppression record to honor your opt-out |
When information is no longer needed, we delete it or de-identify it.
8. Your privacy rights

- Ask us what personal information we hold about you

8.3 Other state privacy laws
Residents of other states with comprehensive privacy laws — including Virginia, Colorado, Connecticut, Utah, Texas, Oregon, and Montana, among others — may have similar rights to access, correct, delete, and obtain a portable copy of their personal information, and to appeal a denied request. We honor these rights on the same terms described above. To appeal a decision, reply to our response or contact us using Section 12.
9. Children’s privacy
This site is intended for business customers and is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us information, contact us and we will delete it.
10. Third-party links
Our site links to third-party websites, including social media profiles, partner sites, and external form and registration platforms. This policy does not apply to those sites. We encourage you to read the privacy policy of any site you visit.
11. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy to reflect changes in our practices, technology, or legal requirements. When we do, we will revise the “Last updated” date at the top of this page. Material changes will be announced with prominent notice on the site. Your continued use of the site after a change takes effect means you accept the revised policy.
